Hello everyone,
I've been able to find a ton of info on Whitney but very little on Russell...anyone have any beta on current conditions up the East ridge with last weeks snow? Our team will be out Sept.27-30.

It was completely clear when I went about two weeks ago. However, I'm sure there is some snow on the East Ridge now. Try these guys:

The latest report shows this guy went up that South Chute last week, not the entire East Ridge, but he's reporting 5-8 inches of snow.

EDIT: I don't know your skill level and comfort with exposure but I am very comfortable with and find the Mountaineer's Route and Notch on Whitney easy and fun, but the exposure on that ridge gave me the willies. eek grin Be careful with the snow.
