How are you with snow?

The first big snowfall of the season is expected this week from late today through early Thursday, with very cold temps in the aftermath of the snowstorm.
Possible snow levels down to between 6,000 or 7,000 feet. Trailhead is at 8,365 feet.

See the Mt. Whitney Natl Weather Svc 7-day forecast.

With the upcoming storm, I am sure you will be able to pick up no-show/cancellation permits. Just be at the visitor center at 11 A.M.

Anyone want to go? I have some winter gear for myself but have never really tested it.
