Can anybody recommend a hotel to stay at in June Lake at the end of January? Making my plans for a relaxing weekend trip and a day of snowshoeing to Parker Lake. We usually go to Mammoth, but are looking for something different in June Lake and maybe a little less expensive.

I've read good reviews of Gull Lake Lodge, and they seem to have decent prices.

Try the Reverse Creek Lodge, operated by my friend David Naaden:

Yep, twelve kids. Photo taken a few years ago.

I've only stayed in a motel in June Lake a few times now, and we've used the June Lake Motel the last couple. It's simple and pretty cheap. Clean, too. I don't think you'll go wrong staying anywhere up there though.

I'm with Bob, I've stayed at the Reverse Creek for years. Great people, great place.

I wonder if they would let me slide on the 3 night minimum? We will only be there for 2 nights.

You'd better ask them. Tell them I recommended their place to you, and see what they say.

It depends how busy they are. With very little snow up there and the economy being what it is, they might be willing work with you. They have with us in the past but we stayed there every October for about 10 years.
