Cabelas has started producing a light weight nylon jacket with 800 down fill just like the Pagagonia down sweater, and similar light, packable down jackets. They are on sale for $74.99. It has good features and seems to be of very good quality. They call it the Superlight 800 Down Jacket, and it is item number IK-982965. Also comes in tall for $5 more. Good gear without the expensive brand name. Comes in black and navy blue. I just received mine, and it is a very nice piece of gear for the $$$. If you disagree, returns are easy.

Do you know if they make it in a hooded version?

doesn't look like it. There is a tall version and a 650 fill that look interesting. Price on the 800 is reall good. I paid more on Steep and Cheap for my 800 fill layering jacket.
