"Plop...plop...splash!" Have you ever heard this sound -- a frog hopping in or out of water -- or seen a frog or tadpole? Imagine not hearing this sound in a place where you did in the past? Wouldn't that be strange?

A few years ago, the California Red Legged Frog was re-discovered in Idyllwild on Mt San Jacinto. My ex, who works under Fish and Game in conservation and habitat told me signs were posted near the creek where the frogs were found. The discovery was so important and unique that there was a $5000.00 fine for getting within a certain amount of feet from the creek. Some of the people she worked with were sent out to kill trout in the streams.
This is all really fascinating stuff when you take the time to read it.
