Good story and even better photographs. Howard took all of them and sells them at art fairs. He is one of the best landscape photographers I've ever seen.
I was Howard's comic relief at Ostrander for 20 years. Finally stopped about 5 years ago, but HW keeps on going. A truly solid and inspiring mountaineer. (Though I gotta say, in 40 years of knowing him, I've never seen him play the harmonica. Who knew?).
