REI posted on facebook today that the 2011 dividend balance is now available, they said to ignore the original date of March 14th! YAY!!!!

In a few weeks REI will have their Anniversary Sale. IIRC, they put nearly everything at 20% off. That stretches your dividend even more.

Nice been waiting for that to buy new boots. Should be able to get over 100 dollars off when the 20% sale comes around.

Many dividends have been calculated and are showing up in personal accounts. I was told by REI that not all are calculated and posted but most are. Just for clarification, the 1 time 20% coupon for members is not valid until March 23rd so hold off on your purchases until then. Most member dividends, sale brochures and the all important 20% coupon are being mailed out on March 21st. Normally the REI website gives info & the code# for the 20% coupon so many could order on March 23rd prior to receiving the dividend and sale mailing. Just either phone, go on line, or mail the order in using the code for the 1 time discount. I note this year that a person can get 20% off 1 item from REI regular store and also an additional 20% off 1 item at the REI outlet store, both available on line. I had not seen this before but could have missed it if it was the policy in the past.

CMC2, thanks for the 411 on the REI sale/coupon. I sort of remember the big sale coinciding with the annual dividend. I hope it is a good sale, we still need a bunch of stuff!!

Most of the sale items are listed in the catalog you get with the dividend info. However I believe in May REI also has their big Anniversary sale which frequently has more items on sale than the dividend catalog sale. You can use your dividend on that one but you can not use the 20% dividend mailed coupon since it is only good from March 23rd for maybe a couple of weeks only. But I believe that the Anniversary sale also provides members with another 20% coupon for 1 item, again with a limited number of days that it is good to use. I do not know if the Anniversary 20% coupon is good for both the REI store and also good for another 20% at the REI outlet store too. Hope all this isn't too confusing but if a person is patient they can really score some good purchases.
