As Jim said, it was a wicked pow day up at Mammoth, and the backcountry is all in the red for the moment (especially Tahoe, sheesh!). But as I was driving back down the hill on Saturday, my friend Tom and I couldn't help but notice the storm pouring down Wheeler Crest.

Methinks there may be some slogineering to be had this coming weekend...







Gotta say, the iPhone isn't bad, except in zoom mode. But these were pretty extreme light conditions, so I was happy.

Good to see some white stuff up there, although my skis are still madly hanging on the wall in the gear room...

MooseTracks, you are so lucky to be able to see those sites! This westsider is green sick (with envy).

Of course there is an eye for the beauty and the ability to turn it into wonderful pictures that the rest of us can wish for, too.
