Breathe, Drink and Keep Going: Conquering Mt. Whitney

It is not the mountain we conquer but ourselves. ... to myself: breathe, drink and keep going. Leading 10 people including my son was the greatest accomplishment that I ever done in my life.

To Tim, Elvira, Jeanine, Jess, Bernard, Garry and Chris: All of you did a awesome job on our Mt. Whitney Journey. It's my pleasure to lead a great group of people.

It is a great pleasure hiking with you guys!!! Just keep on HIKING.

Congratulations Alana and all your group. Loved the video -- it raises the bar for video composition and editing.

Anyone with a fast enough connection can fiddle with the controls at the bottom of the screen and change the controls at the bottom of the window and watch in HD (720p) and full screen.

Fun to watch!

Thanks tdtz! I am itching to go back soon as well. Probably this time I will camp out at Trail camp to appreciate the beauty of it.

Excellent video report. Can you describe the condition of the cables?

Brent, Alana recorded her walk through the cables section, and it is included in the current conditions thread here: Post 24790

Hi Brent,

The cable area was pretty clear. I few snow and ice but don't really need crampons or anything. That was my worry even before we hiked up. When I saw the cables, it was a big relief and waited for my son and friends.

You should be alright!
