A long shot here, but on 7/11/12 at around 2pm I returned to my truck at the cottonwood lakes trailhead after a successful trip via cottonwood lakes-new army pass-Langley-Crabtree pass-crabtree lakes- guitar lake-mt muir-mt Whitney-down mountaineers route-out north fork of lone pine creek. So I was a little out of my mind and really tired. Anyways I set my solar panel, guide charger, and charging cables for my iPhone and camera on my bumper and drove off. If anyone found it I would love to have it back. I will pay shipping, buy beer, and the karma gods will shine bright on you. Thanks and cheers to everyone I meet along the way.

I sure hope someone sees your post and makes contact. Good luck!

I have lost a few things due to leaving them on the bumper like that. If I am ever thinking, I'll put them on the hood in front of the windshield instead.

Thanks, yeah the bumper while so conveinant it is not the best place to put things! I hope for a return but it is what it is. Had an awesome trip, even a mountain lion stalking us off of Langley, covered lots of ground quickly and even got some great swimming in above 12000!
Cheers

Kurtburt,
wow! you should read my trip report . It's rare that anyone hears about mountain lion encounters and now there were a bunch this weekend.

Wonder if it was the same cat as they are known to have a very wide territory that they roam about.

Last mountain lion I saw was in the middle of my driveway chasing a fox down the street right in the middle of Colorado Springs.
