You are an inspiration!!!! Congrats on your successful R2R hike. Definitely an achievement considering your age and knowing how difficult it is.

Excellent trip report.

I have to wait for my trip, scheduled next year Labor Day weekend.

Just curious, what was the temperature like when you were all along the box?

Temperature when I was hiking through the box -- I'm guessing in the 70's. I'm further guessing it didn't get into the 80's until I started uphill from the Colorado on the Bright Angel Trail.
