Continuing with my objective of seeing all the Big Tree groves in Yosemite.

Tuolumne Grove is easier to get to (the road is shorter with very little grade) so there were families and casual walkers taking in the trees. Even with the new snow, the trail was patchy, icy, and easily managed by microspike (absolutely no need for snowshoes). Once again, I was not disappointed.

The first giant on the path

A fallen giant tree with the heartwood rotted away (allowing complete passage through the tree)

The body betrays and the weather conspires, hopefully, not on the same day.
