$150.00 (I use the credit card for work)
The body betrays and the weather conspires, hopefully, not on the same day.

$11.04 ...Tried to spend it on a 20% off single item sale, but the sale coupon code (MEM2013) isn't valid until 9 PM tomorrow. Boo. I was going to brag that I'd spent my div already.

My dividend was $0.00. Beat that! My dividend was sequestered... REI says "re: I" owe them! Well, upon further review...$61.75!! I used to remember in 90s and 00's, my REI dividend was larger than my tax refund! Well, at least Uncle Sam didn't get much "free interest" money from me...I did paid off my credit card balances to avoid paying the finance charge. Of course, all of this happened was before I got married... Strange how that was and how that is... ...oops, I mean Now to figure out what I need...we got everything that REI has to offer...maybe get those thin merino wool socks and chuck my synthetic Costco dress socks...pair of Crocs?
Journey well...

I don't get it. Why are you proud that your dividend is zero?

Maybe they're excited to have purchased everything on sale? Sale items don't return a dividend.

I don't get it. Why are you proud that your dividend is zero? Well, if your dividend is zero, you're in that zen like state where you need for nothing, and beyond striving for earthly goods from REI -- enlightenment can't be far! Sri G.
None of the views expressed here in any way represent those of the unidentified agency that I work for or, often, reality. It's just me, fired up by coffee and powerful prose.

Enlightenment just went out the window. I just spent my dividend in the 20% sale.

I have always made sure to buy something substantial during the REI 20% sales. I didn't really need anything this time, but I showed up at the local store yesterday 20 minutes before they closed. I figured I could use my dividend and a gift card for something worthwhile. Maybe a backpack that's lighter than the 5.4-pounder I took up Denali in 1995. I found a couple of candidates under 4 pounds and under $200 (before discounts), but couldn't make up my mind. I went home, researched packs online before the midnight deadline, and bought... nothing! I'm doing 99% day hikes nowadays, and the big pack would be the better choice on half of the few backpacking trips I take.

$26.81 for me. Feel I little slack after my $92+ from last time. Oh well, maybe I'm getting closer to that Zen state, as well.
