Hi all,

Just got back from South of the border - thought you'd like to see some pics:

Beautiful pictures, Rob. Looks like it was an excellent trip. Thanks for sharing.

This one is especially nice:

Thanks Steve, it was a pretty cool place! and yes, that is one of my favorite photos - I remember taking it saying the same thing! Now, Orizaba looms...

Most impressive. I'm worn out just reading your trip report:-)

Great pictures and narration.

Wonderful pics of Izta

So I went to Orizaba in 1997, never thought I would go back, but I did in 2012 with Richard P.

Now you've done it. I should go back to do Izta. Beautiful.

Is it my imagination, or is the terrain not as steep as Orizaba? Maybe these old knees would do better on Izta. Harvey

Hi Nyker,

Your posts are informative and much appreciated.

Orizaba is in my thoughts... it may be possible to make a trip in the fall of 2013.

After that, quien sabe? Maybe Aconcagua in a year or two.

Hey Bama, thanks.

I'd like to get back to Orizaba too. Trick is as least for me being able to properly acclimatize for more than a couple days before going down, rather then spending 8-10 days there again higher up, which for various reasons was not the most convenient thing to do.
