This IS very interesting, indeed. I have not looked at the Africanized honeybee distribution/migration map lately, but last year it did show their presence in Texas, Az, & NM. So while our own European honeybee is on steep decline (yes, we should ALL be alarmed,) the Africanized honeybee continues its migration.


The body betrays and the weather conspires, hopefully, not on the same day.

Well I'll bee. Check out that distribution map, it's amazing how those bees stay within county lines and don't cross into Nevada. They must have GBS to guide them. I bet they visit Nevada at night. What happens in Vegas...

The climber was found hanging in his rappel gear with "hundreds of bee stings" and his dog was dead, but they can't say for sure how he died. The suspense is killing me.

Poor guy, what a way to go. I've been stung about 10 times once when I trimmed a lavender bush with a hidden hive inside, so I'm pretty sensitized. Freaks me out.
