I just heard about this. It happened two days ago in Yosemite and the Lead Climber fell 30 feet or so and died after hitting the Wall I guess....He was caught by his Haul Line after His Main lead rope was Severed by Expanding Rock flake that Popped off. This was from a friend on YSAR , Any other Links , Reports ,or Intel would be Appreciated. The Muir wall is right next or right of the Nose Route which I have done a couple times ( or it did me ) . They were 4 or 5 pitches from the Top and Finishing. The Muir wall route can take 2 to 5 days depending on the teams ability , weather, and if everything goes according to PLAN.....Be safe out there in the Field You Guys and gals . Yours truly, Sierra Angler

It is especially tough, since this climber's brother also died in a climbing accident several years ago.
