Hi there,

I'm planning to day hike Mt. Langley during 4th of July weekend. Can anyone share the info regarding the current conditions on Old Army & New Army Pass? Are they both clear of snow?

We hiked up New Army Pass Sat 6/15 and there was no snow on it to be concerned with. Walked over to check out Old Army Pass from the top, and there was snow on the trail, but folks were still coming up it.

I plan to hike via Army Pass (Old) on Friday (unless I get information that suggests it is not a good idea). I will post pictures when I return home (Monday)

I've also been leaning towards this trail. It's been a dry year so hopefully most of the snow melted by now...

A friend was up Army Pass last weekend and said there was ice at the top that cause some problems.

I'd take Microspikes, if you got'em, just in case.
