Thats the info Steve!! I'm really excited! Momma and I have tried to go see this a couple of times but by the time we hear about the screenings they're already sold out! I decided it was time to take matters into my own hands and try to host a screening myself!!!

I see that you're going to be watching it about 10 days before me.... please don't tell me how it ends! I hate spoilers ;-)

Woohoo! I'm so glad you're hosting this - I was so bummed that all the others were sold out before I could get a ticket. My husband is going to be bummed that it's on a night that he can't go, though...

Nice job, setting it up. Looks like you need a minimum to make it happen. I sent the link to friends in SD that didn't get in at A16.

Makes me want to put the DVD in again tonight (he wrote, rubbing it in).

Thank you Sierra... We're well on our way to the minimum, but every little bit helps when spreading the word...

I would have given in eventually and just watched it on DVD... but was pretty determined to see it on the big screen with my Mom!

I have the DVD, too. But I really want to see it on the big screen.

Chris, if you get the number of tickets, will any of the MMH crew come to present at the showing?

Steve... at this point there isn't any arrangements made for any of the MMAH peeps to put in an appearance... but I can always ask.. bat my eyelashes and offer homemade brownies... Think that might work?

(You gonna come down and join us for a big screen version?????)

Can anyone who's seen the movie speak to the age-appropriateness of it? I'm wondering about bringing my kids...

Some violent mosquitoes in one scene, but it's short. Graphic blisters. Extreme beauty. I think you'll be perfectly comfortable with kids of any age.

Take the kids, take the grandparents! They will all benefit.

PLEASE bring the kids. Inspiration of this caliber is a wonder to behold in the eyes of a child!

SO glad the minimum quota was reached. I was worried.

I watched it up here on Monday. There are a few bleeped-out words, and they get a little crude with some language, ex: "Ass path" for glissade trail. My 9-year-old watched with us, and I cringed a bit when I heard those things. (edit:) but I asked her about it later, and she didn't even notice any language. (Neither did my wife.)

Thank you - that's good to know. So far, I haven't bought tix for my 14yo, 12yo, and 8yo. I may need the older ones to babysit the younger one anyway, so *I* can go! smile
