Hi again folks,

Here is a poem I created out of a memoir I shared earlier. It's intended to capture the awe of the Sierras at night:

High Sierra Night

Not much of a poetry guy myself but wanted to round out my creative writing experience.. I guess I learned a few things lol... Thanks again guys!

FYI I plan on hiking the CA portion of the PCT this summer (the whole PCT if circumstances permit), and this website provides a wealth of info. for the Lone Pine area and entire 395 stretch, so hats off to your generosity and cheers to the summer of 2014!

Sean, I've covered the PCT from Whitney to Tahoe, and I think SierraNevada has done some of the Tahoe sections. If you have any questions, ask away.

I still would like to find the time to do some multi-week hiking, but when that time comes, the bones may not be willing.

I have done north of Tahoe (hwy 80 access) so I can comment about this area.

The body betrays and the weather conspires, hopefully, not on the same day.

Alright thanks guys, I appreciate your willingness. I have a rough outline of resupply spots, but for any particular questions I'll definitely keep y'all in mind. I want to minimize my leaving the trail (last summer, I carried all my food for the entire JMT, but I stopped at Red's Meadow and VVR for the old burger and ale tradition -- Tuolumne Meadows and MTR were still closed). I'll keep in touch.

Take care,
Sean
