I'd love to hear everyone's suggestions on this.

I am focusing on those summit climbs doable as dayhikes (so, roughly under 25 miles roundtrip) that ideally don't need a rope. Snowclimbs would be great too. They don't need to be 14ers.

I've done some of the more popular ones (Whitney a few times, Langley, White Mountain, Boundary Peak, Mt Gould, Mt Alice, also San Jacinto, Gorgonio further south and Mt Dana, Half Dome, Clouds Rest in Yosemite).

Trail needs to be fairly well accessible by a 2wd rental car.

Appreciate any thoughts. Thanks in advance!

Here's a few. They are all class 4 or below. Mt. Sill will be a grueling dayhike. Middle Palisade would be tough as well. Thunderbolt is class 3 until you get to the summit block which is rated 5.9, but is only about 15-30 ft high. The biggest "bang for you bucks" effort wise for the views is Agassiz or Cloudripper. They are under 12 miles round trip with superb views. I posted this picture from about 2 years ago on my last trip to Agassiz:

No problem as a day hike/climb if you can do Whitney in a day and are comfortable with loose crap and up to Class 3 - some are easier than others and route finding is more difficult on some than on others:

Mt. Russell
Lone Pine Peak
Thor
Agassiz
Cloudripper
Emerson
Goode
Hurd
Red Slate
Morrison
Baldwin
Conness
North
Excelsior
Matterhorn
Basin
Tom
University Peak
Dragon Peak
Mount Gould
Independence Peak
Lamarck
Johnson and/or Gilbert
Mallory
Kearsarge Peak
Muir
Dade (as long as there is snow in the Hourglass)
Mount Morgan - South

I'm sure there are plenty more too.

Rob,
Looks as though you have your work cut out for you. I guess you will have to make several trips to get all these in. How many trips are you planning? whistle
Regards,
John

Oops, you won't get all the way to the Horton Lakes Trailhead (Tom/Basin) with a low clearance vehicle. It doesn't get really rough until the last short section, but you still will want some clearance to get that far.
