You, Joe. You, not "we". Half of "we" is behaving. The freakin' U.S. Cavalry, that's what you need.

Well, I just thought I'd take a line from DUG

Thats what I'm talking about GARY! Great to have you on the team!.................................................

Seriously though.....is it me, or do the people on this site have a better sense of humor? Some of the posts lately have been hilarious.

Can't wait to get to the portal in July. The problem with me watching the Badwater Run and the "Marathon Man" guy (Dean Karnazes) is that I sometimes think I can do that stuff.......It's a great goal, but dealing with stupid and small injuries because you don't want to take a day off is pissin me off a bit. I mean, this guy runs 30 miles to the starting line of a marathon.....runs the marathon....and then does a "warm down" run of 10 miles before he goes to bed.

I'll bet Laura could kick his butt though.

Well Joe, to me "The Zone" is a warm, welcoming community that kinda lets you be the real you, not just a judgmental analysis of your peakbagging stats. I've sensed zero competition for bragging rights since this site got cranked up last year, and I like that. Hiking and climbing should be fun, dammit - otherwise why do it? I like Bee's comment to me once - "refuge" was the term she used. I think that hits the nail right on the head.

And oh yeah, there are some seriously funny folks on this board! 'Tude's initial post on the "Remembering When" thread had me laughing for days.
