Given the higher than average snow this season I was wondering how a climb up Lyell might be over the next month. Has anyone been able to get any sort of view of it, or from past experience, ascertain how high the snow could be up to the top? Do you think it would be a full snow climb right to the top, or would there still be rock to ascent given its steep terrain?

Right now the regular route (Lyell Glacier, cl 2/3) is all snow including the chute from the glacier to the summit plateau. It should remain that way for quite a while considering the big winter. Skis recommended.
The closest access right now is from the June Lake Loop.
Have a good climb.
