I just noticed Ursack has a new container available: The AllMitey.

And even better news, SEKI and Yosemite are planning to try it out.

It is significantly heavier than the AllWhite that I use (with the aluminum sleeve), but it appears lighter than my combination system.

AllMitey:     13 oz.
AllWhite with Aluminum:   7.8 + 10.8 = 18.6 oz.

Two questions.

Does it protect food and packaging from mechanical destruction?

Will bears learn that this is not food and either quit or not try in the first place, as with hard canisters?

Wherever you go, there you are.

Two more questions:

Is the Ursack a properly certified solution?

Does it work adequately in other wilderness areas such as Inyo?

Lots of questions on both sides of this debate, but we don't need to speculate if they just give the Ursack a fair try.
