Trail from WP Parking Lot to summit : all clear, no snow patches and low water crossing.

Water Source: a lot of water source all the way from Whitney trail to Trail Camp and no water source after that all the way to summit.

Cable: icy but on the sides, very managable with trekking pole when I was there. Use your own judgement and base on your comfort zone when planning to go up there.

Switchbacks: all I could say is, Mt. Whitney, land of switchbacks from parking lot to summit and it feels like they added more on the way down 😂

So the spring on the switchbacks has finally dried up? Or frozen over?

The water on the switchbacks is fed by meltwater from a snow field above and off the trail. It's likely that the cold is preventing any more melting.
