Both webcam's seem like they are looking through a ping pong ball today. Anyone have recent reports of visibility/air quality on the main trail?

Thanks in advance.

I was up out of Onion Valley to Forester for 4 days (Sunday to Wednesday)......bad visibility. However, there was a saving grace....thunderstorms the last 3 days. It rain for about 2 hours each day.

Good to know, thanks for the feedback Paul. Any breathing issues or just difficulty seeing? Trying to brace myself for a trip next weekend, assuming the fires will be dumping even more smoke into the area by then.

Thanks, BFR! That is sure different from the webcam view all day. I've never seen the view completely obliterated by smoke like it was today!

I think most of the smoke was sitting in Owens Valley. Up at elevation it wasn't much of an issue.

Thanks for the pic and at elevation experience.

I’m hoping for these results starting on Aug 13th for a planned 3-4 nighter with an Aug 16th summit.
