Sunday September 11, 2022 Someone in my group made a HUGE mistake and took the above bag from a bear box after we finished hiking Whitney. It must have been mistaken with all our other bags and someone in my group put it in my car. I did not realize until I got home from the trip and nobody in my group claimed it. I am so sorry and will ship it to you and try to make up for it. Call or text 720-273-8636

That could have been a resupply for a thru hiker, which would be bad.

I usually put my name and phone number on my resupplies left in bear boxes.

Was it full of food/ supplies?

Might be worth calling the Portal Store and letting them know you have it in case someone asked them.

You also may want to post this at the other Mt Whitney forum for more exposure. http://www.mountwhitneyforum.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=cfrm

Good suggestion to let the store know. I just got approved this AM by the admin for the MtWhitneyForum to post it there as well.
