Mt Whitney Zone Forums General Discussion Whitney fatality 7/29/2010

Here's a report from the Sierra Wave saying a 63-year-old woman from Sunnyvale died on Mt Whitney Thursday or Friday. And she did not suffer an accident such as a fall.

A subsequent update says she had a preexisting medical condition.

Very sad to hear. I am sure everyone offers condolences to the family.

so sad to hear the news of the 63yo woman who died on Whitney. Prayers being said for her family and friends during this difficult time.

Sorry to hear. The Sierra Wave says pre-existing medical condition but that's not final until CSI says so.
