i like reading about rescued hikers, because there's always something to learn from it.
i think it does a disservice to the public when the who, what, where, when, and why of reporting is incomplete.
i learned that two nameless men - they got that part right by looking at the photos - set off some type of gps, for some unknown reason, in order to get a free ride out of the back country.
medical emergency? thirsty? lack of clothing?
why were the men apart from each other?
did they know each other or was it a lucky two-for-one extrication?
