Yes, weather is coming.

Shasta web cam shows rain/snow, Tahoe area and Yosemite Valley has a cloud cover, and clouds are starting to appear over the Sierra in Bishop.

Any local updates? Looks like there was a rain patch near Bishop about an hour ago... a few more further SW in Death Valley NP. Weather Channel temp maps look good for the day through MWMT.

Really strong winds went through here about 8 pm. And it has clouded up a lot. I'd not want to be up on Whitney, or even at Trail Camp when this weather passed through.

I was awakened this morning at 4 AM by a downpour!

NOAA weather predicts a high of 32 for elevation 13107 today. ...and windy!

Interestingly, though, there appears to be a push of dry air from the south keeping the storm on the west side of the Sierra crest. So Mt Whitney appears to be having wind, but no precip.
