Mt Whitney Zone Forums General Discussion Lost knife Crabtree Meadow

This is probably far fetched...but, my husband left his knife somewhere near our campsite at Crabtree Meadow (among the trees after the bear box, just before the creek crossing), and he is oh so sad about losing it. It is pretty large: 4-5" blade in a brown leather sheath. If anyone happens to be around the area and runs across it, we would be grateful if you let us know.

Danielle: Good luck. More far-fetched things have happened. A wedding ring left at Rae Lakes was recently returned to its owner. Steve C once found and returned a memory card from a camera that had fallen from the top of Half Dome to a spot way off trail.

Danielle, I think my loss is your gain. I came to this site to post about my treking poles that I lost at the Cottonwood Lakes trailhead and saw your post. I believe I found your husband's knife. Do you want to contact me by email or pm here?
