Hi All,

I booked my permit for the mountaineers route months ago. When I booked the permit, I didn't anticipate the crazy rainfall this year, and I've got a little anxiety over the conditions/our group's ability. I had initially expected a mix of rock/ice when I booked this trip.

About the group: We're doing the route as an overnight the second week of June. We're generally strong hikers with climbing experience, a lot of experience snow camping, but little experience using crampons and ice axes. We understand the principals of how to travel over snow/ice & how to self-arrest, but have had little practice.

Questions:
- In early June, should I expect snow to cover the E-ledges?
- Should we plan on bringing snowshoes or just crampons?
- My understanding is that the 'final 400' is the safest route to the top in these conditions. Is this right?
- Should we budget for ropes/harnesses for the final 400?
- We don't really have avy skills - should we be prepared for avy conditions in June?

Other advice is welcome.

I want to emphasize that we are prepared to turn around if we find ourselves out of our comfort zone.
