Anybody been up Tyndall recently?

I’m headed up and wondering if iceaxe and crampons are still needed on the upper portion of the class 3 route.

Unlikely. We were there yesterday.

See the picture gallery for other related images on the trail.

edit: See the snow crossing before the top of the pass. Depending on the time of day, you may need crampons + ice ax. We climbed around it.

I climbed Mt Tyndall in late August 2017 which was a very similar snow year. There was a snow patch near the top but you could work your way around it.
