It took me forever, but I finally went through all of my photos from last year and picked my favorites for this gallery. I hope you enjoy them!
2014's Best Photos & Hiking Memories

I enjoyed all of them. I like that you labeled each photo. Is that Mt. San Jacinto in the San Gorgonio Wilderness photo? The trail camp pond looks inviting and I like how you caught the sunrise. Your son will forever cherish his photo with daddy, nice black and white.

Thanks!

The mountains are easier to make out in the full gallery (larger images), but the tall one on the left is San Bernardino Peak, flat one is San Gorgonio and I believe the little bump to the right of San G is Dragon's Head.

Those pics are so good, I can't compete! Thanks for sharing them.

I'd like to know: How did you get the picture of the bright light in the palm, but slightly away from the sun?

Also, I think you should post your glissading video in a separate thread just for that topic. So many people don't know how to do it, and get hurt glissading in the wrong conditions. Maybe a discussion on that would help a few people.

Steve, thank you for pointing out the glisaading video. I just watched it, it brought back memories of when I and my friends came down the chute the night we got lost. We scooted down the chute slowly on our butts because walking down was taking too long. That snow is hard and it hurts. We all took diamox on that trip. The diamox combined with hard snow on our butts turned our rears to a bright purple and red, it was shocking to see in the mirror. Our hips and thighs turned purple and red too. It took about a week to go away. It was almost like a bad bruise, it probably went through yellow stages too.

Loved the Spanish Guitar music set to the video.

Thanks Steve! I am having a hard time figuring out which photo. What's the title of it?

Good idea on the video. I will try to add some commentary to the post, to explain what is happening. I will do it soon.

duh... when I read 'palm' I saw 'palm tree,' lol!

The sun in his palm is actually a lens flare. I just moved the camera around until it looked like it was sitting in his hand.
