My wife and I hiked past Long Lake on the Bishop Pass trail on saturday. I thought this would help a few people if they have a trip planned for this weekend.
From the trailhead to Long Lake the trail was ice or muddy slush. Once we passed Long Lake it was 18" of packed snow. We stopped at Spearhead Lake. The tracks continued towards Bishop Pass and we passed a couple groups that were coming from or going to the pass. I'm sure by this weekend it will be melted out or a trail of mud easy to follow.
***Unfortunatley I lost my wedding band this weekend. I think it was at the Bishop Park campground on HWY 168 or on the Bishop Pass trail. We were camped in spot #4. It is gray/graphite color. email me at: rpm4463@aol.com
