Hello all,

I'm planning to attempt Mt Langley around Jul 20th and I was interested in hearing about the current conditions of Old Army Pass, I think it should be passable by now but haven't seen recent reports on it lately and I know nps.gov link is not up to date since they seem to update the trail conditions page every few months. Thanks.

Try this satellite image site:

https://apps.sentinel-hub.com/senti...07-14&atmFilter=&showDates=false

(Sometimes I have to play with the "Cloud Percentage Slider" on that site).

Old looks almost totally melted. Trail should be all dirt.

I have been up the pass twice in the last 30 days and it is completely clear of snow. There are some old rock slides near the top of the pass (some large boulders blocking the trail), which can easily be avoided. Just follow the cairns and you'll be fine.

Good luck on your Langley ascent!

I just did Langley via Old Army Pass today. I agree 100% with fit2climb.
