Coming to a mountain near you?

A via ferrata makes scaling a vertical face like climbing a jungle gym

The metal rungs allow unskilled climbers to summit imposing mountains, such as Nimbus Tower in British Columbia.

This is (to my mind) is as far as it should go.
There are plenty of ways to scale our own beloved Whitney like a jungle gym, too...

Nice pictures! Where were these taken?? (I like the angles; it conveys the difficulty of the terrain)

Hi Bee,
The pics are from a couple of different climbs, but basically here:

Very fun climbing and not that difficult at all, just a bit "airy." Here's another shot from a spot next to #2:

Fantastic pictures, Jeff! Man, you've been all over Whitney ...litterally! cool

Thanks.
Haha. Yeah, seems like I've covered plenty of routes up the mountain. I even swore that I WOULD NOT do Whitney again last year, but then the kids wanted to do the MR in October, so that resolution went out the window. We'll see what happens this year... (Not that I'm complaining----there's just a lot of other fantastic rock out there that needs "jungle gym-ing"!)
