Pick up TOPO! California. It's a great investment.

wbtravis is right on. I purchased the first Topo! created by Wildflower Productions in San Francisco when the company started. It was later sold to National Geographic, which was a great move by the Wildflower people. If you do a lot of hiking and climbing, Topo! California is a great investment.
