Hey guys -
First time poster, longtime lurker.
The wife and I went up to Lone Pine Lake yesterday for a little jaunt. Somehow, between using the restroom (near the entranceway/atrium), eating a burger at the Portal with Doug and co., and getting to the car, the wife lost her Oakley Flak Jacket sunglasses (or Half Jacket?). If anyone finds these, can you PM me?

Matt: YOu may want to post over at the Portal Store site http://www.whitneyportalstore.com/forum/ubbthreads.php?ubb=postlist&Board=1&page=1 and contact Doug there directly. They get stuff turned in all the time

Ha! I have a pair of special no-line (bifocals) glasses that are especially useful sitting in front of a computer screen. Perfect focus for the monitor, with reading focus below. But they are blurry for anything more than 8 ft. away. My "computer glasses". I live in them 10 hours a day.

Well, on vacation last summer, I lost them somewhere between the last time I used my laptop, and when I got home. I called the hotel, the airlines security and asked, but no luck. So I went to the optometrists and ordered a brand new pair with the same prescription. Fortunately I had an older pair with a defective frame, so they filled in. Once the new pair arrived, I was restored and happy again.

Three months later, I discovered the lost pair... In their case, inside an unused pocked in the briefcase I use to carry the laptop. crazy

Lol Steve! That is similar to our story.
Wife dropped them on the floor in the backseat of the car. Of course that is the first place she said she looked, along with every other obvious and not so obvious possibility.
You can bet that I gave her a lot of crap for that :-)

Completely disproving the theory that these things are always in the last place you look. Aalthough it could have been a stowaway marmot, too: they are great practical jokers.
