I am planning on sleeping the night of the 25th at the Cottonwood Lakes TH Campsite, but I had a few questions:

1.How many sites are there?
2.Are there bear boxes?
3.Is there a water source or do I need to pack in that?
4. Is it safe to leave my tent with sleeping bags and cook gear up at my site, and pick it up after hiking Langley that afternoon? (I am planning on getting an early start (4am) on the 26th, and hope to be back in camp by 5pm to clear up my gear)

I would appreciate responses ASAP. Thanks!

I hope others will add more info, as I am not sure of this:

1. Number of sites: dozen(s?). Not usually fully occupied due to one-night rule.

2. There are bear boxes.

3. There is piped-in water. Not sure how many spigots there are.

4. Sites are one-night-only, so probably need to fold up before you start the hike.
Does the water need filtering/purifying at the TH?

Any water coming from a spigot is required to meet all standards for drinking.

From my experience last weekend, plenty of sites, plenty of bear boxes if you arrive by late afternoon. I think the spigot at Trail Pass TH is not working(?) as I gave bottles of water to a PCT thru hiker there. We drove up in the morning from Lone Pine at 0430 and had to park in overflow near the equestrian area.
