Can anyone tell me what the average temp.at trail camp is around the second week of august?

Click the Mt Whitney Weather link in the box to the left. Then click the 7-day Temperatures for Cottonwood Lakes. CL is 2000' lower than trail camp, so temperatures are several degrees higher.

Over the last week, highs were about 60 F, lows about 30.

It doesn't make a difference. All you need is a cold front to pass through you will see teens at Trail Camp.

I have been on the summit twice in the summer where the temperature was in single digits.
