My hiking buddy is still suffering from an injury and has backed out of our Whitney hike last minute. So I have one extra day pass. I'm not ready to call it quits just yet but due to safety concerns don't want to hike this solo. Would love to pick up a new hiking partner or maybe tag along with a group doing the same thing that day.

I want to start at midnight Saturday, hopefully the weather isn't as bad as it looks to be. I'm a 29/m in great health and have been training for months for this.

My 17 year old son and I (57) are planning to start at 11 pm on Sunday and you're welcome to join us. We are in good shape and have trained, but we're also prepared to abort at any time if we don't like the weather or don't feel good. This will be his first time and my third, but only second from Portal in one day and first in winter. We have our own passes and will be camping tonight and tomorrow night at Whitney Portal.
