Where is the exit point after Trail Crest where the Mount Muir route begins?
I was looking for cairns the other day when summiting Whitney but couldn't find them.

I think there has been a small cairn every time I’ve climbed Muir (13x). You can also see a use trail (or two) leading up to Muir from the main trail. The location is near 36.5646, -118.2923.

13 times? Very impressive.

I have to admit that I have never climbed Mount Muir. But I know that the cutoff to Mount Muir it not too far beyond the switchback that the trail makes shortly after climbing up from the John Muir Trail intersection.
