Does anyone have a reliable temperature forecast, specifically for Trail Camp? At mountain-forecast.com, the lows and highs seem to be the same, which must be wrong, or I am reading it wrong. And Timberline is not updating. Thanks in advance.

I find the Natl Weather Service (NOAA), in general, to be more accurate than Mountain Forecast. You can get the forecast for the summit and Whitney Portal by typing the location into the search bar on upper left. You can also click on topo map on lower right.

Um, no. Think about it. This is warmer than a typical night at South Lake Tahoe, which is only about half the elevation of Trail Camp. Also, ice often forms at the cables section just a little above Trail Camp. This suggests that nighttime lows at Trail Camp are going to be closer to freezing. this time of year. I’m not sure what’s up with Mountain Forecast.

I usually check NOAA (make sure you have the correct altitude) and also Mountain Forecast. I can make a judgement based on what they both say. Very close to actual temps in my experience.

For example, Mountain Forecast says "Heavy Snow" this evening with 4.7 inches accumulation starting around 5:00PM and NOAA says 80% showers and thunderstorms. Which one is correct on this one is very hard to tell.
