Base on your experience, how much fuel do we need to be safe, for 2 nights, 2 persons?
I've calculated we would boil around 1.5 gal of water. So let say for 2 Gallons, How many Oz of Coleman Butane?

Thx

Hi Mike,
with an 8 oz cannister of isobutane/propane and using a pocket rocket stove, I was able to cook 4 meals that started off with one liter of boiling water each.

I was doing real cooking, so I wasn't turning the fuel off once it started boiling.

hopefully that helps, even if not exactly the question asked.
Tom
It all depends on how much you use it, hot food in morning and night? coffee? tea? just boil water and hydrate Mountain House meals or cooking a meal for awhile?

Generally most people can get by with once small canister for that time frame.

That doesn't take much fuel at all. My bping partner and I intermingle our fuel a lot, I cook the breakfast water; he dinner. We like carrying two stoves in case one craps out or breaks...which has happened more than once.
