Does anyone know if this is true that Sam is missing on Mt. Baldy? One of my hiking buddies reported this to me this morning.

Search and rescue team looking for Sam.

Mr. Kim will be dearly missed. A truly great soul.

I hoped and prayed all day that Sam would be found alive. His kids said he always had plenty of food and water and emergency supplies so I felt there was hope for him. I hope he did not suffer. I hate to think of him alone and suffering. He's at peace now so this we can be thankful for now. Rest In Peace Sam. I am not sure if I ever met you or passed you on the trail but I feel like I have known you for years because I have heard many people speak about you and I have read stories about you. Mt Baldy will never be the same without you. RIP Sam.

We will miss you Sam. I remember talking with you for an hour one late weeknight on the trail. We had both come down from the mountain, speaking of the peak in hushed tones under a gloaming sky.

Many people will now climb Baldy not knowing your face, or hearing the kindness in your voice.

Hike on in eternity my friend.
