I hiked to Mt. Whitney quite a few times before, but this time I was able to fly over on my paraglider. We launched from Horseshoe meadow road (Walt's point) and then flew north.

And you didn't land on the summit?

When I was at the summit a few weeks ago and thought I was alone, a climber appeared out of nowhere from a crack in the cliff side.

I can only imagine the surprise if someone landed in front of me in a paraglider.

No. That would be both dangerous and illegal. We're not allowed to launch or land in national parks or wilderness.
