Mt Whitney Zone
Would a 36F sleeping bag cut it for the Kearsarge to Whitney leg of the JMT around late July? I am currently looking at the Sea to Summit Micro MCII: the price and the form factor are attractive.

Or am I better off with a bag with a lower rating (like the Magma 10)?

Thanks.
If you're sleeping inside a tent, that should be perfect.

I tend to cowboy camp -- no tent -- if the weather is dry. So I like my 20 degree Go Lite bag.
Never hiked Whitney before but it's always good to hear people confirm the rating for tents. I recently purchased a 20-rated sleeping bag.
