Mt Whitney Zone Forums Trip Reports Lowest2Highest

Not my report, but this trip posted in Backpacker is a good read.

Think I covered some of the same ground in the Panamints, too, as well as DV & WZ

I did that: Badwater to the top of Mt Whitney.

Of course I drove between Badwater and Whitney Portal... so I cheated a bit. But I understand the appeal of the idea of going from the lowest point in the US to the highest point in the lower 48.

I'm just not likely to hike it anytime soon.

I just read that article last night. Very interesting, but not for me. Very good read though.....................DUG
