Hey Team!

I was curious if anyone had 2 unclaimed day passes from their group that I could use on September 2? Really hoping to make it up as this is the only time I'll be in the area.

I've heard there's no buying or trading tickets, so this is purely a request if you've had group members bail out.

Let me know if you have any other thoughts or recommendations to make this happen!

Thank you so much,
Arb

If you learn about the no-show unused permits, you have a fair chance of getting a walk-in permit. You have to be there the day before at 2 PM for a day hike permit. That is when all the no-shows are made available. There is a drawing of numbers from a hat, to see who gets first shot at what is available.

Last year, by the end of Friday of Labor Day weekend, all the day hike permits were gone. But in previous years, there were permits still available on Labor Day weekend. I would definitely give it a try.

If you don't get one, do plan B: Drive up to Horseshoe meadows, and try hiking Mt Langley. It's well worth the effort.

So it sounds like arriving WELL before 2pm to queue up doesn't increase any chances if they draw from a hat...hmmm ok, good to know!
