Got an overnight for June 14th on the main trail.
What has everybody been comfortable in so far this season as far as clothing goes?
Being that I'm planning on having to go up the chute, have any of you found gaiters useful or necessary?
I was planning on bringing trekking poles in addition to my ice axe. Overkill or not?

Thanks guys!

I expect the switchbacks might be in use by mid-June.

If that is the case, trekking poles and microspikes should be about right. If you're going to glissade, you need your ice axe.

Be sure to have a look at the "Safe Mountaineering" topic to the left.
